About Working Leaders

Learn. Try. Do.

The Working Leaders Training Approach

This is an engaging and fun training that will help you level up your leadership skills the very next day. You’ll learn from the literature, from working experts in the field, from our exercises and activities, and from other participants in the training. You’ll also have an opportunity to share what you’ve learned in the unique context of your own work to add value to the rest of the training cohort. All of our training modules have three components:

  1. Learn. An overview of leading tools or literature in the session topic. We keep our lecture components to a minimum, because we believe that hands-on application is the most powerful way to learn.
  2. Try.A creative and engaging application to help you get a handle on what the tool does or means in a fun and low-stakes context. These are group activities, games, and challenges that demonstrate what you can do with what you’ve learned. You should expect to laugh and have fun during this portion of every session.
  3. Do.An opportunity for you to apply that specific set of strategies or tools to an issue or a problem in your own work. We have tools for you to use to intentionally apply what you’ve learned. These activities are for your own benefit; you won’t share your work here. The application of the training is intended to help cement your understanding.

This training is intentionally designed to be dynamic and to foster conversation among participants and with the training team.
We’re excited to meet you!

Our Working Leaders Training Team

Our training team members are all either working leaders in government and the private sector or skilled contractors who work with and coach leaders in these realms.

Each training session is delivered by one or more team members, with other members of the team actively listening and available to provide additional perspectives and expertise during each session.

Additionally, if you really connect with a member of our team, you can also sign up for one-on-one coaching sessions with any of our trainers.
